Job Description

The Assistant Financial Analyst will be reporting to the Trade & Settlement Manager. The main responsibilities of the candidate will revolve around duties like, analysis of financial reports and the analysis of the economic market and assess its impact on investment portfolios. The candidate shall initiate FX transactions, attend payment and trade requests among others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the investment portfolio database
• Update securities pricing and corporate actions
• Attend to payment requests
• Initiate FX transactions
• Processing and follow up on trade request
• Liaising and following up on investment dossiers
• Analysing the economic and market environment and assessing its impact on investment portfolios
• Keeping up-to-date with latest financial results, economic data, corporate actions, market developments, and new products
• Ensuring efficient client reporting
• Carry out ad hoc assignments as may be reasonably required

Candidate Profile

• At least a degree in Finance / Economics / Investments from a recognized university
• Enrolment in the CFA program will be a definite advantage
• Have at least 1 year’s working experience in the financial services sector
• Have a solid understanding of investment and economics theory
• Good analytical skills with excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Pleasant personality with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Dynamic and motivated team player able to work under pressure
• Proficiency in MS Office Tools.
