Sebastien Flak, or Seb to his friends, joined TrustQore in late 2024 and is an Executive in the Client Solutions team, based in Geneva. He brings over 25 years of experience, including eleven years with the Geneva Management Group (GMG) team starting in 2010, a firm that eventually evolved into the TrustQore we know today. In many ways, his recent appointment feels like coming home, as he is deeply familiar with the Group’s history and has worked with some of its clients. A member of STEP, Seb’s career is marked by extensive experience with leading fiduciary firms and hands-on real estate investment advisory work.
Born and raised in France near the Luxembourg border, Sebastien went on to earn an Economics Master in Paris. He spent the first four years of his career in Luxembourg, before moving to Geneva in 2005.
Thus, this “late forty-something” family man has been happily married to his Swiss wife Virginie for nearly twenty years. The couple are proud parents to Aaron, born in 2013, and his sister Charlie, who arrived two years later.
A true European polyglot, Sebastien speaks fluent French, English and German – though, as he says smiling, the latter improves after a couple of beers. Naturally entrepreneurial, Sebastien specialises in global wealth structuring and corporate optimisation. He thrives on tackling complex challenges and is skilled at crafting intricate fiduciary solutions, no matter where the need arises, nor where the solution may be found.
Throughout the onboarding process, Sebastien’s top priority is always to meet clients’ needs with professionalism and skill. He is excited that joining TrustQore allows him to leverage the firm’s global reach, providing clients access to key jurisdictions. Even in areas where TrustQore may not be directly represented, he and the team use their extensive network to ensure clients are best served
Sebastien is particularly interested in the opportunities to be found in Africa especially where foreign investors are looking at the continent. He explains that TrustQore has developed a range of innovative solutions, including the use of fully regulated Mauritius funds which are of growing interest to the international investor community. One of his key focus areas this year will be to develop these initiatives both in Switzerland and further afield across Europe; indeed – he says – wherever the opportunity presents itself.
Away from work, Sebastien loves sports in general but particularly winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding. Both children have developed a love for the outdoor life too and he is happiest when out in the fresh Swiss mountain air enjoying time with his family.
Travel is very important to the whole family. Sebastien and Virginie have been all over the world and are now taking their children to as many new places as possible. While the family are settled in Geneva, working with TrustQore and their offices around the world mean that one day they just might be tempted to move abroad for a period.
Sebastien’s other great passion is cars and particularly the Porsche marque. He is the proud owner of a timeless 911 but, he quickly adds, the “family” car is an electric one, so the green lobby can rest assured that he “does his bit” for the planet.
Although Sebastien is a recent addition to the TrustQore team, he has already become an indispensable member of the firm’s Swiss base. Whether in Geneva, across Switzerland, or further into Europe, Sebastien is eager to help navigate complex international structuring needs. Prospective clients and advisors are encouraged to reach out for an appointment – Porsche enthusiasts are especially welcome!
